About the artists:

Cynthia Hawthorne is a children's writer. She is an active member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She is currently working on a souvenir children's book for the San Diego Model Railroad Museum and a middle-grade mystery. You can reach her through her website.

Over the past 10 years, Seth Neefus has shown works extensively in Portland, Oregon, as well as in California, New York and Canada. He has built many installations to bring the world of his artwork to life. He is a member of the Together Gallery collective in Portland's Alberta Arts District. He says, "If it wasn't for my family, art and music I would be lost. I have not fully found my path, but I do have a good idea of the things that make life worth living for myself. I look at the the simple ways of life with so much respect. I look to nature for inspiration. I love being creative and alive."
