About the artists:

Known for his quirky and heartfealt music videos, Monkmus has lent his unique vision to a wide range of artists, including Death Cab For Cutie ("I Will Follow You Into The Dark"), Badly Drawn Boy ("Year of the Rat"), Mogwai ("Travel is Dangerous"), and Kid Koala ("Fender Bender", "Basin Street Blues"). Many of his videos have gone on to win awards at festivals such as SXSW and Annecy.

In addition, the short films he created for Sesame Street and Cartoon Network further showcase Monkmus' humor, visual playfulness, and ability to engage audiences of all ages. Born and raised in Maryland, he attended the Rhode Island School of Design, and eventually migrated to Los Angeles, where he happily resides to this day.

Michelle Lord likes to hibernate through the cold weather just like the woolly bear caterpillar. Luckily, it’s not much of a problem in Texas. Michelle is the author of A Song for Cambodia, Little Sap and Monsieur Rodin and Tide Pool Trouble.
