About the artists:

Ashley Soliman lives in a seafoam-colored room with a red bookcase, an orange couch, and her semi-feral cat henderson. She partakes in activities like printmaking, baking, and making old things spiffy again. Will work for shoes.

Orca Book Publishers published Kari-Lynn Winters' first picture book, Jeffrey and Sloth (2007), a finalist for the 2008 BC Book Prize and sponsored tour, and winner of the ABCs of Education best books for 2007.

On my Walk, released in 2009, is Kari-Lynn's first book for babies, toddlers, and preschool children. It has been nominated for the 2010 BC Book Prize. Runaway Alphabet, released in 2010, included a CD of studio performances by voice actors and musicians. Kari-Lynn's Olympic-themed book, When Chickens Fly (Gumboot Books, 2009) will be released just in time for the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.

Kari-Lynn recently became Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.
